“It seems like March is just around the corner. Are you excited yet?? I know I am. I’m so happy that the RSJ will be in my neck of the woods this time. I live in Fort Worth, which is only 40 minutes way from Dallas. That’s going to cut down on my commute considerably.
For those of you who are travelling, I don’t think they could’ve picked a better spot for the event this year. Dallas is a big, big city. There are lots of attractions in the “Big D.” The folks here definitely have a lot of southern charm. Everything has a nice helping of Texas flair. You probably won’t see the sheriff patrolling Main Street on horseback, but we certainly have plenty of cowboys down here. My city, Fort Worth, is “where the west begins,” so be sure to check out the stockyards area in the historical district. Trust me, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back in time.
We’ve got plenty of food, music and fun for all ages. And yes, everything is BIGGER in Texas!
*We’ve had a change with the RSJ Teens. Instead of allowing them into age appropriate workshops, we have organized a workshop designed just for our teens who are interested in writing. The cost for this workshop is $25. This gives the teen access to the Teen Scene workshop with facilitator Earl Sewell.”
