Do you or someone you know need a car? If so, do me a favor: DON’T. BUY. ONE. FROM. JOHN EAGLE’S SPORT CITY TOYOTA ON LBJ. EVER. Ride your kid’s bike, get on the bus, JUST STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THESE MFers!!!
Why? Because they SUCK AND BLOW AT THE SAME TIME—–DON’T DO IT!!! This is what happened to us:
Last month, my husband was on his way home, blocks away from our street, and was t-boned from the passenger side by a no-driver’s-license-having jack@$$. The good news? CJ wasn’t hurt, the jack@$$’s parents had insurance AND a police officer driving right behind CJ witnessed the whole thing.
Two weeks later, our 2-and-a-half-month-old ride was totaled and because our experience with the car dealership had gone alright the first time, Calvin decided to not go take advantage of other places offering to help with a new car and take our business back the Sports City, who’d taken our trade-in, allowed us to post-date our down payments and gotten us into the Kia within hours. They should take care of us for being loyal customers, right?!?
WRONG.
First of all, our salesmen, Daniel Aresenio*, after having promised that we could get into another Kia SUV AND not have another down payment, DIDN’T DELIVER ON EITHER. Not only were there no Kias, the MFer tried to show-horn us into vehicles that we didn’t want or ask for. Only when I told CJ that I was ready to go to another dealership did he finally decide to let us test drive one of the few cars in their lot that qualified for our range/wants, the Ford Escape. It was still getting inspected, so we got a loaner, was told the car would be ready by the following Tuesday (it was Sat) and that the check we had to write with the amount of the down payment would be held for a week.
HAH!!! Not only was the car NOT ready on time, those MFers cashed the check DAYS BEFORE WE WERE EVEN ABLE TO GET THE CAR, which took the funds my child support download, the deposit we paid on the rental car after the accident AND racked up a $hi!tload of NSFs. The Finance Dept guy (Charles Ray*) said to get ahold of Daniel (who suddenly can’t answer the phone anymore OR return calls), Daniel said it was finance’s fault, and finally, the director of the dealership Steven Marin* said to bring him the totals on Monday so we can get money to compsenate for what we lost, which was about $400 (AND we were forced to write ourselves a check against the account for funds for the rest of the week).
Well, to make a long story short, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN’T KEEP THEIR PROMISE, TOOK THE MONEY BEFORE WE EVEN POSSESSED THE CAR AND COST US 2 WEEKS OF CS DOWNLOADS AND ALMOST $700, THEY WOULD ONLY RE-COMPENSATE US FOR $120.
WTF?!? Even after Mr. Ray said he saw and understood how their actions gave it to us up the @$$ without even the benefit of a kiss or even a tube of KY, they STILL gave less than a sh!t about leaving us in a lurch that we’re still digging our way out of and when the car was delivered, the battery died days later, we left it up there for ANOTHER 3 days and they didn’t even fill up the tank for the inconvenience.
THAT’S why, for as long as I’m Black and female, I will NEVER recommend John Eagle/(Bad) Sports City Toyota’s dealership, inventory or ANYTHING. Even if your hoopty breaks down in front of this place, TOW IT SOMEPLACE ELSE AND STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THESE DISHONEST AND OPPORTUNISTIC @$$HOLES, POINT-BLANK-PERIOD!!!
*names slightly changed, but not much: if any of those sacks of $h!t were smart enough to read this, they wouldn’t have pi$$ed off a writer with an audience anyway—-hope being “penny-wise and pound-foolish was worth this entry @$$holes, DUECES!!!*
