Hmmmmm…..a middle-aged male relative living with an elderly woman has an assault record, HAS A HISTORY of attacking family members and is a KNOWN DRUG USER that the elder expressed being afraid of . The family calls the police after the elder can’t be reached. She is eventually found her slain in her own home. The woman’s vehicle, along with the male relative, are gone.
All day, relatives express love and grieve for the elderly woman, but also tell the news media that they were aware of the problems she’d been having with the younger male. If that was the case, WHY DIDN’T THE RELATIVES STEP IN ON HER BEHALF TO PROTECT HER?!? What did they think an 82-year-old woman could do in the face of a younger drug-crazed man and WHAT OTHER CLUES DID THEY NEED TO FORESEE THE INEVITABLE——A CRYSTAL BALL?!?
Why are today’s men, for the most part, seemingly so passive about taking the ‘bad apple’ kinfolk to task to prevent $#%@ like this?!? Maybe instead of putting all these YT videos up about what they think Black women are doing wrong, they need to STEP TO ONE ANOTHER about being their sister’s/mother’s/grandmother’s/aunt’s keeper instead of watching their peers’ dysfunctions spiral out of control and endanger those who didn’t cause it or deserve it.
A female relative called police because she couldn’t get in contact with Campbell. She said the woman was afraid of her adult nephew, Algie Patton, who was living with her.
Dallas police said Friday afternoon they want to talk with Patton, but declined to name him a suspect or a person of interest.
Relatives told FOX 4 that Campbell treated her 49-year-old nephew like a son, but recently Patton had developed a drug problem.
Police are investigating the case as a homicide. They said it appears the victim was beaten, but a medical examiner will determine the exact cause.
Campbell’s missing red SUV was found parked outside an apartment complex in the 200 block of Jim Miller Road near Loop 12 Friday afternoon, but Patton remains missing.
“My aunt was the mother of her church,” said Miriam Fields, the victim’s niece. “She was a church lady. That’s pretty much all she did was go to the church and grocery store to shop.”
Campbell’s sister said she would miss her tremendously. (MYFOXDFW)

So sad on so many levels. Family needs to look out for each other.
